Alisa and Amber are Bay Area natives currently residing in the South Bay. Recognizing the need to promote birth advocacy and the lack of postpartum care and support for black and brown women, they founded Umi Care.
Introducing the Dynamic Sister Duo!
Both Alisa and Amber have completed Postpartum Doula training and have gained essential knowledge which they incorporate into their unique level care. This dynamic sister duo is passionate about caring for mothers during the transitional and transformational postpartum period and making sure moms have all of the support and resources they need to flourish.
In addition to being a trained Postpartum Doula, Alisa has a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling.
Amber is a travel enthusiast and home birth advocate who is fully enjoying all of the bliss of new mommyhood. Amber has a Business Finance degree from San Jose State University and has worked for a number of Bay Area tech companies.
